Accreditation
The Mindanao Institute of Healthcare Professionals (MIHP) holds a distinguished status as an accredited institution of higher learning, recognized by several regulatory bodies in the Philippines. Its official registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Cagayan de Oro Extension Office as a stock, non-profit educational institution, under registration number CN200726673, underscores its legal and formal establishment in the country’s educational landscape.
MIHP’s accreditation by the Commission on Higher Education in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CHED-ARMM now MBHTE-BARMM) on April 5, 2007, is a significant milestone. This accreditation validates the quality and standards of education provided by MIHP, ensuring that its programs, including the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), meet the rigorous educational criteria set forth by CHED-ARMM. This recognition is particularly important given the unique cultural and educational needs of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (now BARMM), a region established by the Philippine Government through Republic Act No. 6734 on August 1, 1989. The creation of this autonomous region was a pivotal step in recognizing and addressing the distinct governance and development needs of the Muslim-majority areas in Mindanao.
The accreditation and recognition by these bodies not only endorse the educational quality of MIHP but also reflect its commitment to cater to the diverse and specific needs of its student population, particularly in the context of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. This ensures that graduates from MIHP, especially from its flagship MSN program, are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills that align with both national standards and the unique requirements of their respective communities.
